The cactus fruit of southern Morocco
Prickly pear (Opuntia ficus-indica) grows as hedges around villages in southern Morocco. The fruit is eaten fresh, but the oil comes from its tiny seeds, and a great deal of fruit is needed for a small bottle. Women's cooperatives in several regions harvest and press it.
It is a cactus fruit, like buah naga, which you already know. The seeds, not the flesh, are what make the oil.
