Privacy, in plain language

This notice explains what Bodywhatever collects, what it deliberately refuses to collect, and what you can ask us to do with it.

Who is responsible for your data

Bodywhatever is published by VORVN LIMITED, registered in Hong Kong SAR at RM4 16/F, Ho King Commercial Centre, 2, 16 Fa Yuen Street, Mongkok, Kowloon, Hong Kong — www.vorvn.com. VORVN LIMITED directly publishes and operates this site and is the controller of any personal data collected here.

What we collect

If you subscribe to the newsletter, we store the email address you give us for that purpose. If you submit a correction, shop or Shopee listing, we store what you tell us and the link you provide. We do not require an account to read anything on this site.

If you use Care Finder, we store your choices, preferences, optional first name, products you already use and any written notes you choose to add. A browser-generated identifier lets you return to your journey. Our team can review these responses to understand readers' care needs; written notes are not published. If you keep a private plan, we also store the email or WhatsApp number you provide with that plan. Marketing follow-up remains a separate, optional choice.

What we do not collect

  • We do not ask for payment details, marketplace passwords or sensitive personal information.
  • We do not sell, rent or share your email with third parties for marketing.
  • We do not place advertising trackers that follow you off this site.

Submissions are reports, not orders

A shop, offer or correction submission is a report for our editorial record. It is not an order and it does not create a relationship with the marketplace seller. We review submissions before using them publicly.

Analytics

We use privacy-respecting analytics to understand which topics are read, so we can prioritise what to verify next. We measure pages and search terms, not people: we do not build advertising profiles and we do not follow you to other sites.

What we search for you

When you search this site we record the words typed, the country you were reading from, and nothing else — no IP address, no identifier, no way back to you. We use it to see which questions Indonesian readers are asking that we have not answered yet.

How long we keep things

Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe, then removed. A submitted report may be kept as part of the editorial record, but the email address attached to it is separated from any published information. Anonymous search terms are kept as aggregate counts.

Where your data is held

Our systems are operated from servers outside Indonesia, so an email address you give us may be stored or processed abroad, including in Hong Kong SAR and in the countries where our infrastructure providers operate. We only transfer what is needed for the purpose you gave it for, we require our providers to keep it confidential, and we do not transfer it to anyone for their own marketing.

Your rights under Indonesian law

If you are reading from Indonesia, Law No. 27 of 2022 on Personal Data Protection gives you the right to know what we hold, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to withdraw a consent you gave us, and to object to processing. You can exercise any of these by writing to us; we do not charge for it and we answer within thirty days. Comparable rights under the law of the country you live in apply in the same way.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in any email. You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted, by writing to us through the contact page — we answer within thirty days. If information from your submission was published, you can also ask us to review or withdraw it.
