What this routine helps with

Freshen hair between washes.

Hair that feels warm or stale in the heat, including under a hijab.

When it is hot, hair can smell stale by the afternoon even if you washed it that morning. A light rose-water mist adds a fresh scent without oil or product build-up.

It does not clean the scalp. Wash as you normally would.

Before you begin

Pure rose water in a spray bottle

  1. Step 1

    Part the hair

Part your hair in a few sections.

  2. Step 2

    Mist lightly

Spray the scalp and mid-lengths 2–3 times from 20 cm away.

  3. Step 3

    Let it dry

Wait a minute until it dries before covering your hair.

Do not rinse. Stop if your scalp itches or turns red.

Under a hijab

Mist before you put the hijab on and wait until it dries. Rose water is not sticky and will not mark the fabric.
