Before you buy

Buying argan oil on Shopee? Read the bottle, not only the title

Pure oil, hair serum and argan shampoo should not be compared as if they were the same thing. A practical label check before you choose a Moroccan-inspired beauty product.

Choose the job before choosing the bottle

Search results can mix a small bottle of oil, a hair serum and a large shampoo under the same argan keyword. Decide whether you want a rinse-off cleanser, conditioning product or finishing step before comparing prices. A larger bottle is not automatically better value when it does a different job.

Read the ingredient list and directions in the product photos. If they are blurred or absent, ask the seller for a readable image of the actual packaging. Save your decision until you know the product name, intended use and quantity; a review about delivery speed cannot answer those questions.

Use Cek KLIK as a purchase check

BPOM's Cek KLIK means checking packaging, labelling, distribution authorisation and expiry. For a cosmetic notification number, use the official Cek BPOM service and compare the returned product details with the item you are buying. A number typed into a listing is not enough on its own.

Keep halal certification separate from BPOM notification. Neither a Moroccan name nor a plant ingredient establishes a product's certification. If certification is important to you, request evidence for that exact product instead of extending a claim from another item in the shop.

What does “Moroccan” actually describe?

It may describe the ingredient's cultural origin, an ingredient source, a manufacturing country or simply a product name. Those are not interchangeable. A serum made elsewhere can contain argan oil, while the location of an Indonesian seller says nothing about where its ingredients were grown.

When two listings remain hard to compare, write down product type, volume, readable ingredients, maker or importer and the evidence you could verify. Leave a blank where evidence is missing. Bodywhatever's product pages are a starting point for discovery, not proof of current stock, authenticity or a result on your skin.
