What this routine helps with

Five minutes to finish your shower without adding a heavy layer everywhere.

For women whose body has a few dry patches after showering and who want a selective finish rather than another whole-body layer in hot weather.

This is the care after your usual shower, not another cleansing session. Start with the moisturiser you already like, then decide whether you want an optional argan finish on a particular area. The Moroccan ingredient is one possible addition, not a reason to cover the whole body with another layer.

Before you begin

Set out a clean towel and the products you already use for the steps below. Read the directions on any new product before you begin.

  1. Step 1

    Finish your usual gentle shower

Use a cleanser you already tolerate and rinse it away thoroughly. This routine begins after cleansing; it does not require Moroccan black soap for every daily shower.

  2. Step 2

    Pat rather than rub

Use your towel gently and notice where the skin feels dry versus already comfortable.

  3. Step 3

    Moisturise where needed

Apply your usual moisturiser while the skin is slightly damp. If you enjoy an argan finish, follow the body-use product directions and keep it to the areas that need it. An oil finish does not have to replace your moisturiser.

Product for this step: Pure argan oil

Notice where you wanted a finishing step and where you did not. Keep this selective approach on humid days rather than turning a small after-shower choice into a complete ingredient collection. If you want the cultural story behind the sequence, the hammam link below explains it without requiring another purchase.

The five-minute estimate covers after-shower care, not the shower itself. Use less or skip the oil if you prefer a lighter finish in hot weather.

After bathing

In a body-care routine, argan oil can be used as a finishing step after cleansing and drying the skin. Follow the label for where and how much to use.

Within the hammam

Within Moroccan hammam care, argan oil can appear at the finishing step after warmth, cleansing, exfoliation and rinsing.

Body oil or pure argan oil

A body oil may combine argan with other oils or fragrance, while a single-ingredient product should have a shorter ingredient list. Both can be finishing products, but they are not the same formula.

For options sold in Indonesia, check the intended area, volume, after-bath directions and complete formula before comparing prices.

A simple after-bath routine

After bathing, pat the skin until it is no longer dripping, then use the product on the areas named on the package. Some people prefer oil on slightly damp skin, while other formulas direct use on dry skin. The product directions remain the primary reference.

Choose an area named on the product label and use the amount it recommends. Keep your familiar moisturiser in the routine; an oil is optional, and skin that already feels comfortable may not need that extra step. You do not have to include exfoliation to use this after-shower routine.

Choose by use, not by imagery

A product pictured with argan can be a pure oil, a fragranced body oil, massage oil or a multipurpose serum. Make sure the label names body use when that is what you need. Also check added ingredients, size, dispensing method and whether the bottle can be stored safely at room temperature.

If your aim is to finish a hammam-inspired routine, choose the final product after understanding the cleansing and rinsing steps that come before it. You can buy only the step you need; the ritual does not become more authentic because every product is used at once.

Common questions

Questions about this routine

Is argan oil used immediately after bathing?

A product may direct use on slightly damp or dry skin. Pat the skin first and follow the package directions.

Is a body oil with argan the same as pure argan oil?

Not necessarily. A body oil can combine argan with other oils and fragrance. Assess the whole formula, not only the argan name.
