A wash-day reset for greasy roots

Scalp cleansing and a comfortable dry finish, without adding an oil layer to greasy roots.

You can follow this approach without buying a complete set. Use products that are appropriate for the step and the way you actually live; the clock describes active care, not any extra drying time.

1. Step 1

   Cleanse the scalp

   Wet the hair and use your suitable shampoo as directed, focusing on the scalp rather than repeatedly scrubbing the ends. Rinse thoroughly; more product is not a substitute for a careful rinse.

2. Step 2

   Give the roots time to dry

   Absorb water gently with a clean towel without rough rubbing. Allow the roots to dry before covering your hair. If you use a dryer, choose a comfortable low or medium setting. Drying wet hair is extra time, not hidden inside the routine estimate.

3. Step 3

   Keep the finish light

   Check the scalp after drying. Do not add a lengths oil to the roots to make the routine look complete. Condition the ends separately when they need it.

Once your roots are fully dry, notice how your scalp feels before adding anything else. If the lengths still feel rough while the roots feel comfortable, that is a separate care choice—not a reason to put oil over the whole head. Leave enough drying time in tomorrow’s schedule as well.
